staying healthy during the holidays

Staying healthy during the season change is easier than you think, especially when you follow these tips from Body By Buckner. I recommend that you pay close attention to your physical and emotional health if you want to stay fit and trim as the Spring approaches. If staying healthy during the season change is one of your priorities, I can help.

Stay Physically AND Emotionally Healthy

You know it’s important to stay in shape physically, but it’s also important to keep your emotional state in shape as well.

Get Enough Sleep and Exercise

You can help keep stress at bay by getting a good night’s sleep, sticking to your exercise routine and getting in 30 minutes of exercise every day, even if you break it up into ten minutes each time. Sleep and exercise can give you more energy and boost your mood.

Take a Time Out

It’s important to take time out for yourself at least 15 minutes every day. Book a quick massage or take a walk after lunch or head to your home office or bedroom, turn on some music and take some deep breaths to restore your soul. You will feel fresh and renewed when it comes to handling the anticipation of Spring and all its festivities.

Keep Alcohol to a Minimum

Spring brings about more brunches and friendly gatherings…that means that the bottomless mimosas will start flowing! One too many drinks can add extra pounds. Try sipping a glass of water after every cocktail to prevent headaches and tension. Drinking less alcohol also makes it easier to avoid those calorie-laden treats at the brunch buffet table.
